    Daniel Hollander, M.D. is the director of the scientific and medical research initiatives of The Broad Foundation and a professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Before joining The Broad Foundation, he was president/CEO of the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Hollander has held several academic leadership positions including executive dean and professor of medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and head of the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). While at UCI, he also served as associate dean for research and program development, associate dean for academic affairs and senior associate dean for clinical affairs. 
    Heather Kubinec, CRA is the senior research administrator for the Broad Medical Research Program for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Grants. She is a member of the Society of Research Administrators and the National Council of University Research Administrators. Ms. Kubinec received a bachelor’s degree from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She is a Certified Research Administrator.
